How It All Started
"After arguing that there was nothing locally that showcases the young musicians in the area: so parklife was born.
This in 2002, gave me six weeks to put together comething which grew into a successful town festival, with a crowd of 300 watching eight local music acts
Appeals to the local media for more bands and solo acoustic players, meant that 2003 saw 22 acts on two stages, playing to around 1200 people for free
Through this and other local music and skate projects, organiser: Ryan Pink, won BBC "MK Hero" award 2003.
Whitbread "National Young Achiever of the Year" award 2003 and made an honoree member of the Royal Society of Arts. Following this has set Rusty Promotions to promote a better understanding and appreciation of local artists and musicians.
